Meat is a material, is food. Meat is the soft part of animals. Meat has been consumed since the beginning of human history, but nowadays meat does not only fill the empty stomachs of consumers, but also the power of disposal over sufficient material resources.
In the second half of the 19th century, the process of industrialization of food production was accompanied by a "clash of mechanization and highly developed organic matter " The killing of animals was efficiently carried out in urban slaughterhouses and morally neutralized by the fragmentation of the necessary work steps. For the production of meat, animals for slaughter are bred and kept. Animals are fragmented after slaughter and the parts are packed into different packages as required: six chicken legs, twelve chicken wings or twenty chicken hearts are packed in a plastic box. I want to create a work in which I give my time and craftsmanship to cheap and industrially produced meat: a piece of sausage is embedded in a piece of rock crystal. At first I was the approach purely experimental, it was about experimenting with different materials. But later the stones should be worn as jewellery and be seen as artistic objects.
