This project is about presenting the essence of selected vegetables in an artistic form. The asparagus has been baked, which has resulted in major structural changes due to dehydration. Through this process of dehydration, which I have observed in asparagus, I have come to the material „sponge“. The essence of the sponge is to absorb water and release it again.

The objects were created from the interaction of the materials sponge and plaster or cast resin. If the sponges become saturated with these materials, sooner or later, i.e. during hardening, they take on their properties. If they are wrung out, they remain in this pose forced upon them - the pose of withdrawal.
